SetPoint Consultants is a national recruitment firm specializing in the Title, Mortgage, Escrow, Banking, and Legal industries. We have a growing national title insurance company with offices in Texas seeking a Junior Commercial Title Insurance Examiner to support the examination and analysis of commercial title commitments and related documents for Texas commercial real estate transactions. This role is ideal for someone early in their title examination career who wants to grow within a commercial title environment and gain deeper experience under senior examiners and underwriting counsel.
The role is REMOTE, but candidates must reside in Texas and have Texas experience.
Salary is negotiable based on experience, but should range from $75,000 to $95,000/yr.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with examining Texas commercial title records, including deeds, easements, liens, plats, and other recorded instruments

Review public records to identify title issues, encumbrances, and requirements affecting insurability

Prepare preliminary title reports, commitments, and supporting documentation

Work closely with senior examiners, underwriting counsel, and production teams to resolve title issues

Conduct research using Texas county records and title plant systems

Help identify curative items and clearance requirements

Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume commercial transactions

Learn and follow Texas title insurance regulations and underwriting guidelines
Qualifications

1–3 years of title examination experience, preferably with exposure to commercial files

Working knowledge of Texas title insurance practices and county recording systems

Familiarity with title plants, public records, and examination tools

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines

Willingness to learn and grow within commercial title examination
Preferred Qualifications

Experience examining Texas commercial title (office, retail, industrial, multifamily)

Exposure to multi-county or multi-site commercial transactions

Experience with national or regional title insurance underwriters
