Description

SetPoint Consultants is a national recruitment firm that specializes in the Title Insurance, Mortgage, Legal, Finance, and Customer Service industries. We have a growing national real estate services company that is looking to hire several residential mortgage due diligence and quality control candidates that are experienced working in this role remotely.

Pay is dependent on experience but will rang from $25.00-$32.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

Candidates will be reviewing loan files for completeness and accuracy and analyzing credit documents, including, but not limited to, mortgage applications, credit history and income documents, title documents, appraisals and all applicable compliance documents.

Candidates will evaluate debt ratio, loan-to-value ratios, credit score, property valuation and various other factors. Must be proficient in audit of collateral documents and proficient in TRID regulatory compliance, including the ability to review initial and revised disclosures for timing and tolerance variances.

Candidates will analyze mortgage servicing collection comments and pay history to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Candidate must have familiarity with best practices for post-close quality control on new and seasoned originated mortgages and must be detail-oriented while maintaining strict deadlines.

Candidate will identify root cause resulting from the client's underlying business practices, underwriting, and/or fraud exposure.

Candidate must have working knowledge of FNMA/FFHLMC, VA and FHA programs and will be determining and documenting loan conditions and communicating requirements and/or decisions.

Job Requirements

5+ years of experience in the residential mortgage industry as an Underwriter

Recent experience with Due Diligence  and Post Close auditing

Team player & ability to multi-task.

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented while maintaining strict deadlines

Ability to read and analyze compliance exceptions identified from third party compliance systems

Ability to work remote and and have home office computer.
